Here we distinguish between new and postconstruction.

The new design is carried out according to the customer’s own conceptual design. Drawings or dimensioned sketches, for example, can serve as a basis.

Reconstruction, on the other hand, is initially carried out by recording the respective component, which can be done using various non-contact or tactile methods. In contrast to reverse engineering, the recorded data is not transferred 1:1, but processed by corrections to the optimum or original nominal data set. This procedure is particularly suitable in the case of damage or wear of material due to abrasion.
